It’s been a lying sort of winter
 covering all the dirt in snow
 made me feel comfortably numb
 made me forget what lies below
April is the cruellest month stirring memory and desire

 as the frozen man
you’ll never grow old
but who do you want to to touch
 with such a cold cold hand?

 

It's been a lying sort of winter
crystal structures in the snow
I should have known they'd melt away
I should have known how it would go
and all the dreams I carved into the ice
fall back down on me as rain

when it gets warmer all that's solid melts away

sometimes a frozen heart
will shatter just like clay
